Are we actually locked in a room?
No, you are able to walk out at anytime but it will end your game. If you haven’t escaped after 60 minutes our courageous staff will come in to rescue you.

Do I need to book in advance?
No, however, it is highly encouraged. Rooms fill up fast and we can’t guarantee a spot will be available when you walk in.

I want to reserve an entire room(s) for a special event. How do I do this?
When you are booking, book the entire room (8 spots) and leave a note on the next screen (in the booking comment section). If you would like to put something special in the room (ie. a ring, ultrasound, etc.) for a special someone to find, please call and arrange to drop it off beforehand.

Are Escape Rooms good for team building and parties?
Uhhh DUH!!! We offer a unique experience that transports you to another place and encourages individuals to work together to achieve a common goal. Please contact us directly for special events.

Can I book a room outside of your normal business hours?
Please contact us directly. If you are booking an entire room or for an event like corporate training/birthday party and we are available to come in, we will certainly make it happen!

If I don’t fill an entire room, will we be paired with strangers?
There is a very good chance that that may happen. It is such a fun atmosphere, the more the merrier, you may make new friends, etc. etc. etc.

Can I bring extra people?
We strongly recommend sticking to the room maximum of 8 players. Our rooms are designed to fit 8 comfortably and your experience may differ with more. However if you have one or two extra participants, please give us a call. We may be able to accommodate your add-ons.

What is your cancellation policy?
While most escape rooms do not offer cancellations, we will honor a cancellation up to 48hrs prior to your time slot. Of course there are always extenuating circumstances we will consider on a case-by-case basis. Please give us a call.

How long does each even last?
Plan on an hour and a half. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your time slot so we can explain the rules, the room and sign waivers (if you haven’t already done so). The room can take up to 60 minutes depending on how well your group performs. All that plus your (hopeful) celebration and group picture.

What happens if I arrive late?
The room starts promptly at the scheduled time slot. Please be 15 minutes early so you can enjoy the full experience.

What is parking like?
We have a small onsite parking lot (with an addition coming soon) around back of our building. We do also have street parking on 10th Street and along the front of the building.

Where is the entrance to Element of Escape Located?
Our entrance is in the back of the building (where our onsite parking is). Please turn right onto 10th Street from Manatee Ave. (SR64) and turn into the parking immediately on the right. We are located on the second floor.

Is the location ADA/Handicapped Accessible?
We are located on the second floor of a historic building. That being the case, we do not have an elevator and the stairs is the only access.

*** Note: if you are planning on drinking the day of the event, please plan on doing so after the event. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to people appearing visibly intoxicated by alcohol and/or drugs. If this happens, you will not receive a refund or a reschedule date. This is for the safety of our staff and the other guests. Plus, you will do much better in the rooms with a clear mind! ***
